Great Kitchen Faucets – oil rubbed, brass, bronze or koehler

If you were to take a look an most any kitchen in the world, there is a good chance that you would see the same kind of sink in the majority of these homes.  That sink is made of stainless steel, which is obviously a good choice.  But since it is so common, that also makes it a bit boring.  One of the best ways to add a little flavor to the sink area of your kitchen is by getting a faucet that stands out a little more.  When you think about it, a stainless steel sink combined with a stainless steel faucet is about as boring as you can get with a sink.  Since these two colors match, there really isn’t much variation.  If you want to add a little variety, here are some options.

The easiest way to spice up your kitchen is by getting a faucet that is made out another material.  While some other materials like chrome and nickel look almost identical to stainless steel, others look completely different.  Take a copper kitchen faucet for example.  These faucets are a beautiful golden brown color, which contrasts nicely with a stainless steel sink.  Another great choice if don’t want something so shiny is to go with one made out of bronze.  Bronze is quite a bit darker than copper, and many manufacturers give it a coating of oil to make it even darker.

Another great way to add some color to your sink is to get a uniquely styled kitchen sink tap.  While most people choose a modern, curving design, you can also get them in any number of distinct designs.  Some of the best ones, in my opinion are the old fashioned taps, since they have styles that aren’t commonly seen in homes today.  Most of the old-styled taps have square edges as opposed to rounded curves.
